A Plague Tale - Innocence
Hi there!
This time I want to share this masterpiece of narrative, whose atmosphere, art and music are worthy of praise.
A Plague Tale - Innocence is a beautiful and emotional journey through the darkest age of History, the trip of the young noble Amicia de Rune and her adorable yet smart brother Hugo.
I must to say that I have not played it yet but I've seen several streams of the game and my first impressions are fantastic. I have always been interested in games (movies, books, illustrations... art in general) where narrative and art is above average and this game has caught my attention for that reason.
The game is already on Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/752590/A_Plague_Tale_Innocence/
And you have more info on its official website:

What do you think? Do you like the theme "the dark ages of history"? What do you think about its music? Are environments well integrated with the story?

Wow, what an excellent piece of work!
I don't know if you are aware of the story of Eyam ( a village in rural England) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eyam , but it is a place that I have visited sevearl times (it was not too far from another village where I spent several years of my childhood). The village and my visits to it have remained in my memory for a very long time.
The story of that village seems to be somewhat represented within the story-line of "A Plague Tale" (from what I have seen), and I hope that this realism does not vanish as the game develops.

Re: A Plague Tale - Innocence
What a surprise! I know that town and its history about the plague!
Once I did an investigation about the plague (the dark ages of history) for a game jam and I found this town and its relationship with a supposed immunity to the disease. I thought it was a great story with a lot of potential... and I still think that.
I don't want to make spoilers but I think there are supernatural components in this game that surpass the power of the plague... which makes it more interesting in my opinion.
In any case, I find that period of history very inspiring, full of myths and dark legends...

Superb new trailer for A Plague Tale - Innocence in which Sean Bean takes players in the game's universe with deeply touching poetry... amazing!
Re: A Plague Tale - Innocence
Well I don't know a lot about this kind of stories and references but the first trailer REALLY turned me off. I hate when they make trailers like an MTV clip. Ubisoft do this a lot also.
The second trailer is better. The art is really good and Asobo is a good studio.

Yeah, the first video is the story trailer, very commercial, I agree with you.
Here's a short video to give you an idea of the gameplay... the mechanics are also interesting (apart from narrative, music and art).

Looks good, I saw that game a while ago and thought it's like Game of Thrones in a game. Don't you think?
The two trailers are good in my opinion, even though I agree that the first one doesn't show the quality of the game (mainly cutscenes, so of course it's beautiful...).

Re: A Plague Tale - Innocence
The atmosphere is similar to Game of Thrones (dark and decadent) but I think the story not, I think the story of A Plague Tale is more "realistic" and inspired in real facts.
Although I'm not a fan of Game of Thrones, I've only seen the first season

Ahah I am still watching. Honestly I'm not a very big fan of GOT, there are many things I don't like in this series, but I watched season 1 because there was Sean Bean (aka Boromir in Lord of the Rings), and I must admit that I was caught in the world and continued to watch..........
