Binary Core - Cyberpunk Jam 2019 [Juanjo - Python Blue]

Hi there!

The jam-man has returned!

Finally I'm participating in Cyberpunk Jam 2019, I could not resist... cyberpunk + scifi + jam

I have the history, mechanics and aesthetics, now I just have to start with the design in Unity. Due to the short time that I will have, I will use assets that I already have, although as always I will have to create some small models, textures... it will be fun!

Some details about my entry:

TITLE:
Binary Core (provisional title)

STORY:
The year is 2094.

Hiroshi Senzo is a hacker who has been hired to steal information from the multinational Kitashi Robotics.

But something goes wrong when Hiroshi tries to access the company's database... now his life is in danger, will he be able to escape from the clutches of Kitashi Robotics?

The game will be in first person with real-time 3D graphics (Unity Engine) and the aesthetics will be cyberpunk, dark and decadent (you know me). And although it will be very short and the story is not very original, this time I want to experiment with the mechanics, I will try to test something that I have had in mind for a long time, I hope to do it in time.

And that is all for the moment, I will continue to share the progress.

16 hours remaining to the deadline and I still have a lot to do...

I've finished my entry!

As always I'm very happy to have finished. I would have liked to add more things but it has been impossible...

Tomorrow morning I will create the page in Itch.io, upload the Windows version and also try to upload a version for MAC.

Juanjo and Python Blue in their true element! This is amazing! The story, the tension, the atmosphere, the dreary run down scifi setting. I think you guys absolutely nailed it! The labored breathing along with the tense soundtrack and health countdown really adds to the sense of urgency. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and felt I may not be able to complete the task at hand. Fortunately I found the antidote with 70 health left. Whew, that was a close call. Bravo gentlemen, bravo!

Finished Binary Core! 110 health was remaining. I was happy that there was not more to do! This is very stressful, but the concept is original and very interesting. Well done Juanjo, that's another excellent game! The music of Chris was fitting very well the atmosphere and action.

I'm very happy with the result, but I don't understand how in the category "music" we have obtained the position 21... I just don't understand it. Chris' work was incredible and he deserved the position 1

Anyway, thanks to all for your support and encouragement.

For the music, I think that it is not really related to the work of Chris. As you say it was of ver good quality (and we all hilighted this). It's probably more because there was a lack of diversity in the music, people probably would have wished to hear different themes rather than a single one in loop. It's just my opinion but it could explain this rank?

That being said... CONGRATS! Ranked 3rd! It's amazing
