What is a fragment?

For the sake of Fragment Jam, a fragment is any previously-unreleased executable/launchable game file.

There are exceptions: if you have an unfinished non-digital game, we welcome a rules document in lieu of an executable file. The goal of Fragment Jam is to highlight incomplete projects that exist beyond single assets (audio tracks, concept art, design documents). But fear not! If you do have complementary unused assets, consider submitting them as part of the Family Album diversifier! You are also encouraged to include stray assets within your executable so players won't need specialized software to open and appreciate them.

Diversifiers

Stepback - Release a postmortem of your fragment! Tell us about your vision for the completed version. Talk about how you came up with the idea. How has your life changed since? Why is it a fragment? Any reflections on your experience surrounding the fragment are welcome! Include this as a notepad file within your build folder.
Family Album - Have designs documents, screenshots, or other files for your fragment? Include them in a folder along with your fragment!
C-C-C-Combo! - Have more than one fragment? Why not combine them! Submit a single executable consisting of multiple fragments. Together they’ll create a new unique experience.

It worked, I could play the game!

However there were many bugs, as you said in the Readme file. But it was interesting! You are good at creating 2D games, I like the retro style in them, they remind me of some games from the past

The biggest bugs I had was mainly audio. Most of the games had no sound and no music (except the last one, Hellbugs)

- Cyberpunk:
Very good, my favorite one If I could play with a gamepad it would be perfect.
The level is too short, I wish a full game like that, reminds me of Contra! haha
At the beginning I was lost,  ididn't find the double jump and the fire gun. Then it becomes much easier!
The most difficult was the jumps on the wall at the very end, in order to climb.

- Heroes:
It looks fun, it's like a running escape game, but there are many issues and the game loops endlessly, right? The soldiers sometimes lose their arms when they turn. The flying guy behind doesn't seem to kill me, is it normal?

- Black and White:
Interesting graphics and concept. This is more my cup of tea, a kind of Myst-like with video transitions However there were no cursors changing, so I didn't know where to click. Finally I could open the door on the right, and the game ended. I didn't understand how I opened the door, the first times I tried it was closed, and then for some reason it opened.

- Skeleton:
This is a very fun concept but way too hard! I had to identify the livings and then decide of the good action! Very difficult lol

- Kine:
This game didn't work for me, too bad, it seemed interesting. When I press ZERTN, nothing happens. If I hold these keys the games "bips" but nothing happens. I stayed stuck on the menu.

- Hero's Journey:
This is a giant maze. The graphics are very interesting, I like them. The hero reminds me of LabyX! Was it the prototype version of this game?

- Hellbugs:
Ahah it is well done! I don't know how you created that kind of gameplay! But I died very quickly, I'm not good at this game

For the "kine", don't forget that you've got a french keyboard : just use W instead of Z : you'll see that it's a good position for the hand, independently for the left or right one. And for most of games, yes there is no sound or music : it's not a bug. They just are unfinished projects, and like for any project, sounds and music are the last artistic creations.

By the way, thank you for all your comments. The TVGJ project is the most buggy : no end, no death, troubles with jumps and armed arms have weird behaviours as you saw ^^" The robot project was inspired by LabyX : it's a good way for me to understand how to make words bigger, with interactive stuff inside. For Hellbugs, yes it's hard ! But if you look the engine, it wuld be perfect for an adventure game, with the left clic hold to turn screen instead fo just going on left or right of the screen (like Kitrinos).

All these projects are just a way for me to have learned new things that I'll use probably later in better projects ^_^ Thanks again for your comments and for playing to them.

Oh yes, for KINE, of course, QWERTY! I should have thought about it. I had imagined that you used Azerty keyboard because you're French, so I didn't even try Qwerty ^^

That's a shame for the music, you are doing so great compositions that I would have loved to hear them! But I understand that you didn't have the time of course, it's normal.

I prefer that you create music for MVEM instead haha

I have downloaded and hope to get to try it out soon. Yaz - this loks and sounds phenomenal (as usual!)

Sounds like an amazing collection! I hope to get a chance to check them out this weekend!

I'll try to fix some bugs for the TV-GJ project. And perhaps add some music/sounds, if I have the time for this. Actually, I work on the music for the Simon's project. As you've all probably seen, it will be a wonderful cute and peaceful game. I can't remember when I played a game like that, but I'm sure it will bring me a lot of joy in the heart. I already love it ^_^

There is still a lot of things that could be better, but who cares ? It's a Fragment Gamejam ! ^_^

For info, I've used music made for some friend's projects never released. "Fragment music" !
