My Summer Crafts 2019
This Summer on my Patreon page I have posted several videos of crafts/DIY (Do It Yourself) things that I created at home for the fun.
Originally they were posted in private to my Patrons only, but I have updated the way I manage my Patreon page, so now these videos are public.
This is a small teaser:
If you liked it and want to see more, you can take a look at my Patreon blog
and click on the left on the DIY button (the last one):
https://www.patreon.com/simon_asa
This will display a list of DIY videos showing in more details how I made the knife, the chocolate breads, etc.
As I said these videos are now publicly available. I will still have a few ones to post soon, so please keep an eye on my blog if you're curious!
If you have a Patreon account you can follow me there (it's free if you just follow and want to see the public posts), and so my news will be displayed in your Dashboard.
And if you don't have a Patreon account and don't plan to create one, don't hesitate to bookmark my blog in your web browser to add it to your list of favorite sites.
I am thinking of making a public announcement soon. For the moment the videos are public and not referenced. Maybe I will change them to totally public eventually, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea. Let me know what you think!
If you don't want to go through my Patreon blog (which doesn't help me a lot, but I can understand why), then you can still check some of these videos on Youtube directly on my channel:
Making A Bushcraft Knife - full playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSG2DW1yvzELQNh4MG49jH0YyCvJXC-xY
(5th video is still private and Patrons only - coming soon)

Re: My Summer Crafts 2019
Thank you for these videos. I've just seen how you've made Chocolatines (yes, I'm from Aquitaine) : excellent job ! You've got plenty talents ! Your skills in making your homemade knife are incredibles ! Really well done.
Just the choice of "Chicorée" instead of real coffee or tea is little strange ^^ You really like this drink ? o_O

Oh wow! Thanks for sharing Simon. I watched the videos and I must say most impressive! You even have built your own kiln. You truly are a man of many talents! I love the countryside and it seems you have made the best of this summer despite the heat. When the apocalypse comes I'm moving in with you, we can live off the land!

Yeah, thanks for sharing Simon!
I really like these personal videos, by the way... when are you going to participate in the TV show "Forged in Fire"?

I loved the Pain au Chocolat - I remember buying them in Normandy (a very long time ago) when I and my sister were on a "hosteling" vacation there.

Thanks everyone! I'm glad you liked them.
Please let me know if you ever try to make your own chocolatines/chocolate breads/or whatever the name! Please share photos if it's a success!
@Yaz
Yes it happens that I drink chicorée but that's not my favorite, it's just cheaper. I don't drink coffee usually (I didn't like that in the past). However I kept the box to put other things inside such as dried herbs for infusion. I also like a lot Tea (all kinds). Recently I've found a nice tea from China, kind of pu-erh tea, brewed and pressed in a galette. It has a surprising taste!
@Josh: Sure you're welcome, I'll teach you how to grow potatoes, make a bow, kill pigeons and grill them all ahah! (if we can turn on a fire, because it's really tough without a lighter - if we have to do it manually by turning sticks, we're in trouble! I know, I've tried hard several times, without success lol)
And there'll be less heat waves here than where you live
(on the other hand, after the Apocalypse it might be terrible everywhere!)
