TRANSFERENCE - A psychological thriller
Hi there!
Last week I was playing Transference, an experience created by SpectreVision and Ubisoft that tries to unite movies and games.
Imagine an "escape room" in an upset mind. Explore a chilling new dimension in this first person game. Meet a family from three perspectives and unravel the hidden mystery in this intricate psychological thriller.
It's really an interactive movie (FMV) set in a virtual world that mixes memories of the different members of a family. The mechanics are very basic and sometimes a bit strange. All the action takes place inside a house where you can use switches (a concept that I really liked) to change reality to advance the story.
Mixing realities is sometimes confusing and you can lose the plot thread, but the game helps you with recordings that you have to unlock and fill in the missing gaps in the story, so in the end everything fits together.
It can take a couple of hours to finish, but if you want to discover all the secrets of the story you will have to be patient and investigate everything, it took me more than 6 hours to finish it and I lacked recordings to discover.
It reminded me a lot of Observer, another psychological horror game that plays with the mind and realities, created by Bloober Team (Layers of Fear 1 and 2) and that I recommend 100%.
The only thing I didn't like is that to play you must have the Ubisoft UPlay launcher installed, even if you bought the game on Steam, which is very cumbersome because when you run the game from the Steam app, at the same time, it runs UPLay, for what you have two launchers running at the same time... absurd.
If you are interested in the game, you have it on Steam:

I hope this review helps you

Re: TRANSFERENCE - A psychological thriller
Ok, I don't understand the concept well but it looks interesting. If someone wants to do this with the Black Cube series, you're welcome
