I think there was an issue with private messages on the forums (not only for new members). I remember someone told it to me several months ago and... I forgot!

Before they couldn't send PM before 7 days. Now they cannot send PM if they have not posted 3 messages on the forums. It's easy to reach 3 messages! It forces new members to participate!

You've all probably heard this rumor by now but it's important. There's an attack on Discord planned for the 27th of July. If you haven't set up two factor authentication yet, please consider doing so. If you don't care about your own personal data, think about the data of the people you've talked to privately on here.

I'm not totally sure of that, as I said could be a rumor but just in case, be safe that day.

I have had a look at two-factor Authentification, but I don't own a smartphone, so it looks like I cannot enable it

Don't worry guys, Rehvaro has said (in Discord) that could be only a fishing attack, just don't click unknown links like usual.

Roger, if you can't get the two-factor Authentification maybe it's a good idea not to log on that day.

Anyway I don't think that this threat is dangerous, Discord will already be prepared to avoid the attack if it occurs... or so I hope, hahaha.

I don't think this will happen, it is a bit stranger from hackers to say that they will do something on a specific day.
I have changed my password just in case, but I can't do the 2 factor auth, so I cross my fingers...

But if something append (it's not sure, personally I doubt), I suppose it will be a fishing vague or a simple DDOS of the platform.
But if indeed it's truly a hack (as Simon I doubt hacker would warn...), then just secure your password and use an unique one, just to be sure
