Welcome to The Icehouse Forums V2.0!

For those of you who were regular visitors, you may not notice too many differences – this was part of our intention. You may find some topics no longer there, as we have tried to structure the forums more logically and based around the concept of collaboration.

For those of you who are new here – WELCOME!

What we have tried to do is organise things so that we can all work together more effectively and find out more about our Projects, Collaborations, Inspirations, to introduce ourselves to each other, to discuss issues, etc.

MEMBERS (private access)

The structure (brief outline) for the Members Section is as follows

Projects

Story
This is where we would recommend discussing any original Storylines, Concepts, etc.

Art
This is where we would recommend discussing any original Character/Element Designs, Environment Concepts, etc.

Team Management
This is where we would recommend that we start to build our teams and begin planning any Collaboration/Project development

Development
This is where we would recommend that Prototypes, Development stages be discussed/presented

Audio
Guess what – The answer is in the name? Audio – Sound/ Music, etc.

Release
This section is intended for discussion/planning around the release of any completed Project/Collaboration (Release issues, Channels, Marketing etc.

Inspiration

Games, Animation, Music
What are/were the Games Cartoons Music that inspired/currently inspire you – NB this is intended for work other than your own (See Who am I? in Introductions)

Software & Tools
A Discussion area for Software, Engines, Plugins and tools

Game Jams & Interests
Another Guess what! - The answer is in the name? This area is all about Game Jams and similar interests

Collected Data
Lists of potentially useful Information, Websites, etc.

As you are (hopefully) aware The Icehouse is being re-structured with the removal of old membership definitions (Member/Friend) which were misunderstood and potentially holding us back from effective collaborative work.

Please read the revised Constitution as we hope that this clarifies the new Icehouse!

Welcome back to everyone!!

First of all I want to thank Simon and Roger for their incredible work during these weeks, without them these changes and improvements could not have been done, thank you guys!

Secondly, I also want to thank this incredible community for your comments and suggestions, without which we would not have been able to improve this wonderful collective, thank you all!

Finally, we hope that the changes and improvements made will help you to communicate better and that it will be easier for you to show and share your work, interests, inspiration ...

Remind you that we are in the testing period and that we can still make changes to adjust some things. If you detect any problem or error please tell us (PM to Simon, Roger or Juanjo).

Thanks again everyone for your contribution.

And now... the celebration of the 5th anniversary of The Icehouse can begin!!!

Hello Everybody!

Thanks to everyone for their comments, opinions, criticisms and assistance. I have a very good feeling that this could be the beginning of a whole new phase in The Icehouse's existence. I am also confident that the level of cooperation/collaboration can only increase and improve.

Here is to a future that we can all enjoy!
