DESCENT: Hunt For Truth - [Juanjo]

Hi there!

You probably all know that I tried to participate in Frictional Fan Jam organized by Frictional Games to celebrate the anniversaries of their games Penumbra, Amnesia and SOMA last September. And you will also know that I could not finish on time, but I had put a lot of effort and love into the project so I decided to continue with it as a side-project.

I have to thank Python Blue for his invaluable collaboration, as always his talent adds a plus of quality to my projects and this time it was not going to be different.



About the game
DESCENT - Hunt For Truth, is a short first person survival horror experience with a story freely inspired by Amnesia: The Dark Descent. An atmospheric game in which you will play as Ulrich Tannhaus, a sheriff sent to the village of Altstadt to investigate the strange disappearances of its inhabitants. The village is located deep in the woods of eastern Prussia, where the  Brennenburg Castle is located, owned by Baron Alexander von Brennenburg.

But the search for truth will take you to the depths of Altstadt, where an ancient secret is hidden…

Nice style but so sooo dark on my screen.

Indeed Yves, it's very dark lol! We need a new bright screen to enjoy this. On my old monitor 2 years ago I couldn't see anything in Juanjo's games

But well done Juanjo, on my current screen I can see the result and there's a lot of work in this. I know that you're putting a lot of efforts into this. I really hope this project will be successful!
Yeah a release date for Halloween sounds like a good idea!

Sorry for the darkness of the images, I know. I plan to increase the light of the lamp and the ambient light too... but not much, darkness will be an important ally in this game.

Oh the Darkness, the abyssal darkness, where the Ancient ONes lie in slumber!
